Midwest Metalcore Student Jewelry and Metalsmithing Exhibition

Midwest Metalcore is a student juried exhibition organized by Object, a student metalsmithing organization at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The exhibition invites students from the Midwest to submit their jewelry and metalsmithing work. Accepted pieces will be exhibited at UW-Milwaukee's Mary L. Nohl Gallery from June 16th through June 24th. Jurors' choice awards will be announced during the opening on June 16th: $200 Best in Show and two $50 honorable mentions. Those not in attendance will be notified via email.

Applicants must be currently enrolled full or part time at a degree/diploma/certificate-granting institution located in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, or North Dakota. Up to three pieces may be submitted, with two photos permitted per piece. Submissions must be made through callforentry.org. Only work that is accurately represented in the submission photos will be shown. Submission is free.

The entry deadline is June 5 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Work must be received by June 14. Notifications will be sent by email on June 6. Work will be returned between June 25 and July 3. The jurors are Rachel Kedinger, Emily Klopstein, Ruby Jaeger, and Katheryn Hancock, all students in the jewelry and metalsmithing program at UW-Milwaukee and current officers of Object.
