About This Call
This call for digital projects and programming is open to arts organizations, professional artists, artist teams, and designers who are age 18 or older and eligible to work in the United States. Applicants may work individually or in capacity-building partnerships with local or regional artists, artist teams, or cultural-based organizations.
Available funding includes 10 Organizational Grants of $2,500 each and 8 Artist Grants of $1,250 each. All projects must be completed by December 31, 2020, and if selected, artists and arts organizations will be required to provide an open-to-the-public project. Board members and family members of the Midtown Management District, the Midtown Redevelopment Authority, TIRZ #2, or the Midtown Parks Conservancy are not eligible to apply. Artists who received grants in 2018 or 2019 are also ineligible.
Work sample requirements include a minimum of 5 and maximum of 5 images, 0-2 audio files, and 0-2 video files (5-9 total samples). Two letters of reference are required. A Question and Answer Session about the micro grant will be held on Thursday, August 20th at 7 PM; interested applicants should register with Cynthia Alvarado by 6 PM that day to receive the virtual meeting link. All submissions will be received and evaluated through a digital platform.
