About This Call
Midsummer Arts Faire is a celebration of the arts in Quincy, Illinois featuring a juried art exhibition and sale. The event welcomes artists and makers who represent both fine and curated handmade art, taking place the fourth weekend in June in historic downtown Washington Park. The faire accepts a maximum of 65 artists to ensure individual sales remain strong, with show organizers dedicated to growing the event to a regional destination.
Eligible media categories include 2-D work such as drawing, photography/digital photography, printmaking, mixed media, painting, and fiber arts, as well as 3-D work such as clay, jewelry, sculpture, wood and glass. All artwork must be original art produced by the exhibiting artist. Fine art prints and reproductions are acceptable when accompanied by original works but must be clearly marked and cannot be more than 50% of the display. Event hours are Friday, June 27 from 5:30pm-9:30pm, Saturday, June 28 from 10am-5pm, and Sunday, June 29 from 11am-4pm.
Booth spaces are 10' x 10' for $250 each, with limited 20' x 10' double booths available for $400 each. Artist benefits include free reserved parking, booth sitters and volunteers, over $5,000 in awards, over $8,000 in Art Fare sponsored funds to purchase artwork, and extensive marketing efforts. Exhibitors are selected by a 5-member panel of jurors who rank work on a scale of 1 to 10. Artists are strongly encouraged to offer demonstrations of their creative process in their booth.
