About This Call
This call is open to MFA students working in Photography, the Moving Image, and/or Books who will be enrolled in MFA programs during the 2012-2013 academic year. Students must be enrolled in a program in one of the following states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
The juror, Lisa Sutcliffe, Assistant Curator of Photography at SFMOMA, will be selecting bodies of work for display, not individual images. Submissions may include 1-5 images or up to 1-3 video clips, with each video no longer than 3 minutes in length. The application fee is $30.00. Final presentation dimensions of the submitted work and artist statement are required at the time of submission. For photographic installation work, detailed installation directions are required upon delivery.
Participants are responsible for paying shipping and insurance both ways. Insurance during the time of exhibition is not required. Entry Deadline: August 17, 2012. Accepted Artists Notified: September 10, 2012. Deadline for Delivery of Accepted Artwork: October 1. Exhibition Dates: October 20 – November 18. Exhibition Reception: November 2.
