Mexico City | Open Call for Exhibitions & Residency 2022

Proyectos Galería (PRPG.mx) is a Dab Art Co. satellite gallery located in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City. Housed in a 2-story former residence with 4,000 square feet of combined exhibition space, the gallery features both original colonial architecture and contemporary display walls. The gallery is curated exclusively by Dab Art Co. curator Micheal Swank.

This open call seeks original, unsold artwork in painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Submissions must include 3-20 images. The entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each. An optional Zoom consultation with the curator is available for $75, limited to 1 hour, covering portfolio review, website and social media feedback, and professional guidance. Consultations are non-refundable regardless of selection status.

Entries submitted by April 30, 2022 are reviewed weekly for upcoming exhibition consideration. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Selected artists receive an "Invited" status for immediate group or solo exhibition opportunities. Artists placed on the waitlist will be featured in at least one online exhibition within the calendar year. On average, the gallery selects 10-20 artists each month for solo exhibitions and group shows. All accepted 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer.
