Mexico City | Open Call for Exhibition

Dama Gallery invites artists to submit work for exhibition consideration in Mexico City. Located just outside of CDMX in Cuernavaca, the gallery offers an affordable, peaceful environment with a rich cultural landscape. Exhibition lengths vary from 1 to 3 months, with the number of pieces depending on the artist's medium and work dimensions. Selected artists are invited to attend receptions and may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by Dama Gallery, which includes priority consideration for future exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing support, and online presence through the gallery's partnership with Artsy.

Submissions must include 3-20 images of original, unsold artwork. Accepted media includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional work, digital art, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All artwork must be professional quality and ready to hang (for 2D work). Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with an additional $5 per image up to a maximum of 20 images. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Dama Gallery retains a 50% commission on sales, with artworks listed on Artsy. Sales remittance occurs 5-7 business days post-exhibition and/or upon buyer payment finalization. Entries submitted by June 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT are considered for exhibition. Entries are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month by the curator.
