METRO DENVER CREATIVE CAPITOL Exhibition

The Colorado Council on the Arts (CCA) and Denver International Airport (DIA) invite Metro Denver and Boulder artists to participate in the METRO DENVER CREATIVE CAPITOL Exhibition, the fourth in a rotating series highlighting artists from different regions of Colorado. The exhibition seeks two-dimensional and three-dimensional creative interpretations of Colorado environments and culture.

Selected artworks will be displayed at Denver International Airport from November 2010 through February 2011, then travel to the State Capitol for exhibition in the Lieutenant Governor's Office and basement of the rotunda from March through June 2011. Due to space limitations, only two-dimensional artworks will be considered for the State Capitol exhibition.

Eligibility is limited to Colorado residents in the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson. Artists may submit up to two artworks. Two-dimensional works must measure larger than 20" x 20" and not exceed 48" x 68" x 2.5" in depth. Three-dimensional works (DIA only) must be less than 3.5' long x 2' tall x 2.5' wide. Framed artwork must not exceed 50 pounds. All artwork must be available for the duration of the show. There is no application fee. Digital images only are accepted; slides will not be accepted. Selected applicants will be notified the week of September 13, 2010. All artwork accepted into the exhibition will be insured while in DIA's and CCA's possession.
