Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is an exhibition at Core New Art Space in Denver running October 26 through November 12, 2017. Artists are invited to present their interpretation of metamorphosis in any medium, exploring themes of mutation, transmutation, evolution, rebirth, alteration, aging, reshaping, development, innovation, change, revolution, renewal, transition, and growth. Size limitations are 8 feet high by 24 inches wide; performance art is not accepted.

Work sample requirements: submit 1-3 images and/or up to 3 audio files (minimum 1 total sample required). Entry fee is $35.00. The application deadline is September 6, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Eligibility is open to national artists.

Juror Bobbi Walker founded Walker Fine Art in 1999 and opened the gallery in 2002. She serves on the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs, the Denver Art Museum Board of the DAM Contemporaries, and is a member of numerous arts organizations including the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Clyfford Still Museum, and Denver Art Dealers Association. Opening reception is Friday, October 27, 2017, 5-9 PM. Accepted artists will be contacted the week of September 11 with shipping instructions due by October 21. The show will be taken down Sunday, November 12 at 4 PM, with work shipped back the week of November 13.
