METALmorphosis: The Art of Transformation

METALmorphosis: The Art of Transformation is a national, open-call exhibition highlighting metal in all its forms—sheet silver, gold ingots, steel wire, or any other type of metal. The exhibition celebrates the transformative experience that occurs through various processes and repetition unique to metalsmithing.

In partnership with the Colorado Metalsmithing Association (CoMA), The Art Students League of Denver invites all artists working in metals to participate. The entry fee is $40 for non-CoMA members; active CoMA members receive a discounted rate with an access code. Submit no more than 3 pieces for jurying. Sets may be entered as a single item if sold together. Sculptural and wearable work will be considered if made of at least 60% metal. All artwork must be available for purchase; ASLD retains a 40% commission on sales. There is no size restriction, but submissions are subject to available space.

Exhibition dates: September 27 – October 26, 2024 at ASLD. Reception: September 27, 2024 at 5:30pm. Artist Talk: October 11, 2024 at 6pm. All work must be delivered to ASLD by September 16, 2024.
