About This Call
MOveMENT is a juried exhibition of 3D metalwork and jewelry by local metal artists, running November 4-17, 2011 at 724 Studios, 724 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110. A soft opening is scheduled for November 4, with a celebration on 11-11-11 from 5:30-10pm, including a VIP event for donors and a ticketed celebration for the general public with food and dancing. The exhibition will be juried by Julie Muniz, Imogene Gieling Curator of Craft and Decorative Arts at the Oakland Museum of California, and professional recycling artist Harriete Estel Berman. The exhibition showcases the convergence of metal arts with various Bay Area movements and will coincide with a one-day symposium, Forging Communities, held at the Oakland Museum of California on November 12, 2011.
