About This Call
Merged is a juried exhibition of original unique 2D and 3D collage and assemblage artworks featuring mediums including found objects, recycled materials, paper, fiber, wood, and metal. This is the 4th iteration of the Merged Exhibit at d'Art Center. The exhibition will be co-curated by Gallery Director Amanda Bradley and Juror and Artist Brandon Thompson, a self-taught mixed media artist known for his playful creativity and use of bold colors.
The exhibition is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original, created without the aid of an instructor or kit, and produced within the last eight years. Works cannot exceed 50 pounds or be longer/larger than 60 inches in its longest dimension; size and weight restrictions may be waived by contacting the Gallery Manager prior to submission. Work must be hang or pedestal ready, and content should be appropriate for all viewers. The entry fee is $35 for 3 submissions; each additional submission over 3 is $5, with a maximum of 10 works that can be submitted. Image submissions must include a minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 images. Awards include 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($300), and 3rd Place ($150). The gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center).
The exhibition runs Saturday, January 10 - Saturday, February 7, 2026, with a reception Thursday, January 15, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The call is open Wednesday, October 8 - Sunday, November 9, 2025. Jury period is Monday, November 10 - Sunday, November 16, 2025, with notifications by email by 5 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025. Accepted works must arrive by 5 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025. The artist is responsible for shipping costs. Works must include pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx; no freight shipping or packing peanuts are permitted. Hand deliveries are accepted through pre-arrangement only. Works can be picked up beginning Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Artist statements must be 555 characters or less.
