About This Call
Merchants and Makers invites artists and makers to participate in the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival Market, held during the first weekend in August in Central Park. This juried market welcomes over 140 talented artisans and makers across all disciplines, including fine art, jewelry, crafts, vintage goods, and food vendors. The event transforms Central Park into a dynamic marketplace attracting tens of thousands of festival-goers.
Booth sizes and fees include: Single Booth (10x10) at $300, Corner Booth (10x10) at $350, Extended Booth (10 wide x 20 deep) at $400, Double Booth (10 deep x 20 wide) at $600, and Food Trucks/Concessions at $800 (6 total available). A non-refundable registration fee of $35 is required at application submission. All booths are approximately 11x11 spaces. Vendors are responsible for providing all display needs, including tents, tables, chairs, and weights. Setup is available Thursday, July 30th from 1:30-7 pm and Friday, July 31st from 6 am-8:45 am. The market runs Friday, July 31st, 9 am-6 pm and Saturday, August 1st, 9 am-5 pm.
Vendors must be present for the entire show and agree to be open during all hours. Only items juried into the show may be sold. Food vendors must have products licensed by MDARD and created in a commercial kitchen, with packaging following state guidelines. Food trucks must supply liability insurance certificates, Food Truck Licenses, and valid Fire Inspection in the City of Grand Haven. All tents must be properly weighted with at least 50 lbs per leg for standard 10x10 canopies, with weights securely attached and tethered. Staking is not allowed. Multi-Level Marketing companies are not accepted. Vendors are responsible for collecting and paying Michigan Sales Tax of 6%. This is a rain-or-shine event with no refunds or alternate dates in case of cancellations.
