About This Call
Epperson Gallery of Ceramic Arts is accepting submissions for "Menagerie," a juried National Clay Competition celebrating Animals. The exhibition is open to ceramic artists 18 and over residing in the USA who create, interpret, and explore animals—real, surreal, or imagined. Both functional and sculptural ceramic work are welcome.
Artists may submit up to 3 original works not previously shown at Epperson Gallery of Ceramic Arts. All submissions must be made of clay. Artwork must not exceed 72 inches in any direction or weigh more than 65 lbs. Submitted artwork must be prepared for professional display and available for sale during the exhibition. The artwork exhibited must be the same piece(s) submitted for consideration. Image files should be sized at no larger than 1800 x 1800 pixels at 72 dpi.
Entry fee is $40, with an additional $10 media fee for each image beyond the first. The juror is Ariel Bowman. Awards: First Place $1,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance to Epperson Gallery of Ceramic Arts.
