Members Only Online Juried Show

This is an online juried exhibition open to all active members of the Pastel Society of the Southeast (PPS). Active membership requires fully paid dues prior to October 1, 2025. Members may submit up to four entries at $30 for two entries and $10 for each additional entry. At least one painting is guaranteed acceptance, with a maximum of two paintings accepted per member.

Artwork must be soft and/or hard pastel on any surface, with the top layer being a minimum of 80% pastel. Oil pastels are not accepted. All work must be original and cannot have been shown in previous North Carolina shows or won awards in any IAPS member society show. Paintings executed in a workshop or class under another artist's supervision are not eligible. Images from published or internet photographs are not allowed unless the photographer has granted permission. There are no size restrictions.

Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Awards include First Place $400, Second Place $300, Third Place $200, Carolina Award $200 (for North or South Carolina residents), Pastel Society of North Carolina Award $150, Pastel Society of Cape Cod Award $150, merchandise awards for Best Landscape, Best Still Life, and Best Portrait/Figurative, and four Honorable Mentions at $50 each.
