About This Call
Meet the Artists-Frisco (MTA) is a juried art festival held in conjunction with the Town of Frisco's annual Fall Fest event on September 12-13, 2020. The festival takes place in Frisco Historic Park on Main Street in Frisco, Colorado, at 9,100 feet elevation on the shores of Lake Dillon with views of Peak One. Artist booths are located throughout the park, and the event is heavily promoted by the town and features live music, food vendors, and local performances.
Booth spaces are 10 x 10 (single) or 10 x 20 (double), and artists must provide their own free-standing display booth with suitable protection from sun, wind, and rain. Weights are required to protect booths from high winds; no staking is allowed. Electricity is available upon request on a first-come-first-served basis. The jury/application fee is $25 (non-refundable). Booth fees due upon acceptance are $300 for a single booth or $550 for a double booth. Artists who participate in both this show and Arts on the Blue River - Silverthorne receive a $50 discount on the booth fee.
All work must be original and produced directly by the artist. Applicants must submit four digital images via the CAFE application system: three showing individual pieces representative of current work and one showing display and booth setup. A brief artist statement describing artwork, process, and experience is also required. Artist attendance is mandatory both days of the event. Set-up occurs Friday, September 11th from noon to 5pm and Saturday morning, with all artists required to be set-up and open by 10am each day. Show hours are Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. Security is provided Friday and Saturday overnight. Coffee, doughnuts, water, and lunch are provided to artists, and booth sitters are available to help during breaks.
