Media 2030

In 1869 the first photos of landscapes were shown. Artists and painters cowered, capitalists rejoiced, and the Image was democratized (for a moment). Decades later photography was employed to actually examine our world, art, society, and the creative impulse. In this show, Media 2030, Old Walls Gallery hopes to jump-start this process within the current shocking, empowering, game changing technologies of AI and social media. Can we use these new technologies to investigate our world? to make art? or will they consume us? This show imagines the new media art of 2030. Artwork of all media will be considered, with an emphasis on New Media works. AI created pieces are also welcome. We're looking for corrupted images, digital camouflage, AI on strike, programs that break themselves, Morse code that doesn't work, avant-garde digital files, explorations of all digital and hands on new media...
