About This Call
Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee is hosting the MBA Art Show 2026, a juried art exhibition featuring approximately 50 artists and an acclaimed Featured Artist. The show will include an early access Interior Designer Sneak Peek for top Nashville designers and their clients, as well as a free, open-to-the-public Opening Night with food and beverages. Proceeds benefit the Mothers Club and Fine Arts Department of Montgomery Bell Academy.
Artists work in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen and ink, mixed media, digital art, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture. A selection committee representing artists, interior designers, educators, and supporters will choose participants. Up to 5 MBA alumni are exempt from jury and invited to participate, though all alumni may apply on their own merit. Applications must include a brief artist statement and 5-10 high-resolution digital images representing the quality, average price points, average size, and style of work to be exhibited.
There is no booth fee; the application fee is $40 (non-refundable). Selected artists receive 70% of sales, with MBA receiving 30%. This split also applies to commissions sold within 120 days following the show. Artists are responsible for Tennessee sales tax on their 70% proceeds. The show runs Opening Night Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 5-9 pm, continuing Friday, November 6 from 9 am-5 pm and Saturday, November 7 from 10 am-4 pm. Each artist will be featured on the Art Show website with bio and artist statement, and has the opportunity to participate in a studio visit showcased on Instagram. MBA handles all sales transactions and provides commission sheets. Artists must hang their own artwork; nails and picture hangers will be provided. An inventory list of all pieces must be submitted by October 21, 2025. All exhibited work must be original and for sale; limited signed reproductions require prior permission. Artists who withdraw after October 5, 2026 will not be considered for the 2027 application process.
