Mayor Mattie Parker High School Art Competition 2024

The Mayor Mattie Parker High School Art Competition 2024 is open to all high school students in Fort Worth, TX, and surrounding areas within a 20-mile radius. The competition accepts both 2-D and 3-D original artworks completed within the last year. Submissions are made digitally via CaFÉ with no entry fee; each entrant may submit up to three digital images of three different artworks. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 48" in height or width including frame, and three-dimensional works cannot exceed 24" in height or width. All works must be available through the entire exhibition run and available for sale.

The exhibition runs May 4-18, 2024, with an award ceremony on May 4, 2024. Juror Maria Elena Ortiz, Curator at The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, will select award winners. Awards include 1st Place: $500, 2nd Place: $300, and 3rd Place: $100. The first-place artwork will be featured in the Mayor's office for one year, and top selections will be featured in a 2-week exhibition at Fort Works Art. Juror selections will be announced via email and the CaFÉ website no later than April 18, 2024. Physical works must be delivered by April 26, 2024, to Fort Works Art Gallery (Tue-Sat 11 a.m.-5 p.m.).
