May Group Art Show

The Jones Gallery, located in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, invites applications for the May Group Art Show. The gallery is housed in a 100-year-old historically registered warehouse with 9,000 sq. ft. of display space and has been in business for over 10 years, open full time six days a week.

This group art show is open to 2D artists, 3D artists, and photographers. No reproductions of original paintings or drawings are allowed. The gallery will select 0, 1, 2, or a maximum of 3 pieces to display. Artists may submit up to 5 images for jury review. The exhibition runs Wednesday, May 4th through Thursday, May 26th, with a First Friday Artist Reception on May 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Maximum artwork size is 48" width x 72" height. Artists receive 75% of sales; the gallery retains 25%. Artwork must be wired on the back and ready to hang. Artists must provide two tags (no larger than 3.5" x 5") for each piece, labeled with artist name, title, medium, price, city, and state.

Local artists should deliver work Friday, April 29th or Saturday, April 30th (11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Pick-up is Friday, May 27th or Saturday, May 28th (11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Out-of-state artists may ship work by Saturday, April 30th; artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance and must include prepaid return shipping labels. Unsold artwork will be returned within two weeks of the closing date. Entry fee is $30. Eligibility is open to artists and photographers 18 years of age or older nationwide. All artwork must be original and for sale.
