May Group Art Show

The Jones Gallery, located in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, invites applications for the May Group Art Show. The gallery is housed in a 100-year-old historically registered warehouse with 9,000 sq. ft. of display space and has been in business for over 10 years, open full time six days a week.

This group art show is open to 2D artists, 3D artists, and photographers. No reproductions of original paintings or drawings are allowed. The gallery will jury submissions and select 0, 1, 2, or a maximum of 3 pieces to exhibit. Artists may submit up to 5 images for review. The entry fee is $30. Artists must be 18 years of age or older, and all artwork must be original and for sale. The exhibition runs Wednesday, May 3rd through Thursday, May 25th, with a First Friday Artist Reception on May 5th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Artwork must not exceed 48" width x 72" height and must be wired on the back ready to hang. Artists must provide two tags (3.5" x 5" maximum) for each piece—one for the back and one for wall display—labeled with artist name, title, medium, price, city, and state. Artists may provide 10 business cards for display. Commission on sales is 75% to the artist and 25% to the gallery. Local artists should deliver work April 28th-29th (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and pick up May 26th-27th (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Out-of-state artists may ship artwork with prepaid return shipping labels using FedEx, UPS, or USPS in reusable cartons. Unsold artwork will be returned within two weeks of the closing date.
