About This Call

The Gallery of Hermosa invites all artists to participate in "May Flowers: A Celebration of Spring in Art," an exhibition showcasing diverse interpretations of floral beauty through 2D mediums. The exhibition runs May 9-27, 2024, with a gallery party and opening reception on May 10, 2024 from 5-8pm. Located on Pier Ave in downtown Hermosa Beach, California, the gallery offers artists exposure during the famous Fiesta Hermosa event, with thousands of visitors passing by.

The gallery welcomes submissions in all 2D mediums, including watercolors, oil paintings, acrylics, photography, digital art, and mixed media. Artists may submit up to 3 images for a non-refundable entry fee of $25. Detail shots count toward the image total. All accepted artwork will be offered for sale during the exhibition at the gallery and/or online on the gallery website. Artists must include the selling price (including the 35% Gallery of Hermosa commission) in their submission details, along with a short artist's bio and statement and a brief description (up to 300 characters) for each artwork.

The opportunity is open to all artists—local, national, and international. If chosen for the exhibition, details regarding sending or delivering work to the gallery will be provided via email.
