About This Call

Site:Brooklyn is accepting submissions for "Material Process," a juried online exhibition examining how artists embrace, utilize, and transform the inherent properties of their materials. The exhibition seeks to showcase contemporary artists who continue the dialogue between artistic vision and material exploration, demonstrating how process-based approaches integrate with material properties. Works across all mediums are welcome, with a focus on artists who utilize materials as creative partners, allowing their inherent properties to guide and inform the artistic outcome.

The exhibition will run from August 13, 2025 to September 13, 2025. The juror is Francesca Altamura, a curator and creative strategist who is senior art curator at Morris Adjmi Architects and was senior curator at Acrylicize and curatorial assistant at New Museum of Contemporary Art. Artists must submit 3-12 images and up to 3 videos. Entry fee is $26.00 for three images, with an additional $10.00 per image. All artwork must be priced for sale and available throughout the exhibition. Artists will retain a 60% commission on all sales. Notification of acceptance will be sent July 26, 2025. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
