Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Fellowship: Photography 2017

The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) Artist Fellowships provide direct, unrestricted support to Massachusetts artists in recognition of exceptional original work, to foster the creation of new art in the Commonwealth. Artist Fellowships in a range of disciplines are awarded to primary creators of original works of art. The Artist Fellowships provide competitive grants of $12,000 and finalist awards of $1,000.

The Photography category accepts original work in traditional and experimental photography, or any work in which photographic technique is the primary element. Work that involves digital or software manipulation of photographs should apply in this category. Work completed prior to 2013 is ineligible.

Applicants must upload five JPG images to their CaFE Portfolio. Images must have a minimum pixel dimension of 1920 pixels on the longest side and a minimum resolution of 72 ppi/dpi, with a maximum file size of 3 MB. Panel review is anonymous, so applicant names and information identifying commissions, awards, reviews, and presentations should not appear on work samples or descriptions. The application deadline is January 23, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
