About This Call
Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowships provide direct, unrestricted support to Massachusetts artists. The fellowships recognize exceptional original work and foster the creation of new art in the Commonwealth. Artist Fellowships are awarded to primary creators of original works of art, with competitive grants of $15,000 and finalist awards of $1,000.
The Sculpture/Installation/New Genres category includes original three-dimensional sculpture, installation art, time-based media works of art, conceptually driven work, experimental, hybrid, and community-based practice in the visual arts. Applicants must upload up to three video files to their CaFE Portfolio. The total length of video(s) should be 5 minutes or fewer. Work must be completed in 2015 or later; works in progress are eligible. The panel will review work samples anonymously, and applicants should ensure their name does not appear in work samples or work sample descriptions. The title of the first work sample will be used as the application name.
Application deadline: Monday, October 1, 2018. Eligibility is limited to local Massachusetts artists. Full program guidelines are available at http://www.massculturalcouncil.org/applications/fellows_guidelines.asp
