About This Call

Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowships provide direct, unrestricted support to Massachusetts artists. The fellowships recognize exceptional original work and foster the creation of new art in the Commonwealth. Artist Fellowships are awarded to primary creators of original works of art, with competitive grants of $15,000 and finalist awards of $1,000.

The Sculpture/Installation/New Genres category includes original three-dimensional sculpture, installation art, time-based media works of art, conceptually driven work, experimental, hybrid, and community-based practice in the visual arts. Applicants must upload at least five JPG images to their CaFE Portfolio. Images must be in JPG format with a pixel dimension of at least 1200 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 5 MB. The panel will review work samples anonymously, so applicants should not include their name or identifying information in their work samples or descriptions.

Eligibility is limited to local artists (Massachusetts residents). The application deadline is Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. For full program guidelines, visit http://www.massculturalcouncil.org/applications/fellows_guidelines.asp
