About This Call
Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowships provide direct, unrestricted support to Massachusetts artists. The fellowships recognize exceptional original work and foster the creation of new art in the Commonwealth. Artist Fellowships are awarded to primary creators of original works of art. Competitive grants of $15,000 and finalist awards of $1,000 are available.
The Photography category accepts original work in traditional and experimental photography, including digital or software manipulation of photographs where photography and photographic technique is central. Applicants must upload five JPG images to their CaFE Portfolio. Images must be in JPG format with a pixel dimension of at least 1200 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 5 MB. The panel will review work samples anonymously; applicant names should not appear in work samples or work sample descriptions. The title of the first work sample will be used as the application name.
