Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowship: Photography

Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowships provide direct, unrestricted support to Massachusetts artists. The fellowships recognize exceptional original work and foster the creation of new art in the Commonwealth. Artist Fellowships are awarded to primary creators of original works of art. In the 2021 grant cycle, Artist Fellowships are $15,000, and Finalist awards are $1,500.

The Photography category accepts original work in traditional and experimental photography, including work where photography and photographic technique is central, as well as digital or software manipulation of photographs. Applicants must submit five JPG images. Images must be at least 1200 pixels on the longest side with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Work samples will be reviewed anonymously, and applicant names should not appear in work samples or descriptions. The title of the first work sample will be used as the application name.
