Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowship: Crafts

Mass Cultural Council Artist Fellowships provide direct, unrestricted support to Massachusetts artists. The fellowships recognize exceptional original work and foster the creation of new art in the Commonwealth. Artist Fellowships are awarded to primary creators of original works of art. Competitive grants of $15,000 and finalist awards of $1,000 are available.

The Crafts category includes original work made substantially by hand, including art centered on the skill and technique of manipulating glass, metal, wood, fiber, clay, and other materials. Applicants must upload at least five JPG images to their CaFE Portfolio. Images must be in JPG format with a pixel dimension of at least 1200 pixels on the longest side and a maximum file size of 5 MB. The panel will review work samples anonymously; applicants should ensure their name does not appear anywhere in work samples or in the Work Sample Description. The title of the first work sample will be used as the application name.
