About This Call
Join the 34th Annual Marion Arts Festival, a one-day event that brings together 50 of the nation's most respected artists to an audience of over 10,000 enthusiastic art lovers in the heart of East Central Iowa. Known for its intimate and purposeful atmosphere, the festival creates a thriving environment for both artists and art enthusiasts. In addition to the juried art fair, the event features live music, activities for all ages, food vendors, and a popular half-marathon and 5K race.
This is an all-original show dedicated to high-quality fine art and fine craft. No reproductions or commercial products are allowed, though limited edition prints must be signed and numbered. Artists must submit four images of their work and one booth shot through zapplication.org. The jury fee is $30 and booth cost is $250 after acceptance. Artists may enter in more than one medium but must submit separate applications with fees and images.
Artist amenities include Friday load-in with complimentary artist party, overnight security, convenient artist parking, breakfast bags, snacks and lunch on festival day, and a hotel block. Cash prizes are awarded with last year's prizes at $750 (1st), $500 (2nd), and $250 (3rd). Booth spaces are 10' x 10' on a hard surface with 3' on each side. Tents or canopies are required and artists must bring 80lbs of weight for each leg. The festival runs rain or shine with no rain date.
