About This Call

MarinMOCA's Northern California Open celebrates the region's creativity and is organized in conjunction with MarinMOCA's annual ART FWD Party. Money raised through ART FWD and the Northern California Open directly supports the museum's exhibitions, educational initiatives, public programs, and work with local artists.

Works selected for the Open will be on view at MarinMOCA from July 13 - September 28, 2024, and will be featured on a special website. All exhibition works will be available for sale. MarinMOCA offers up to 50% commission to all participating artists on works that sell during the exhibition. Exhibition artists will receive a complimentary ticket to the ART FWD Party on September 28.

Eligibility: Artists 18 and older who reside in a Northern California county. Artists may be in any phase of their careers. Entry fee: $30.00. Submit 1-3 high-quality images (.jpg) at 300 dpi (not to exceed 5MB), artwork information (title, date, medium, dimensions, fair market value), a brief artist statement (1000 characters max), and a brief bio. An esteemed panel of jurors will select works for inclusion. Notifications to selected artists will be sent June 10. Art drop-off/delivery is June 27-29. Different price points are welcome, but works priced under $2,500 are most likely to sell.
