About This Call
The Marblehead Arts Association (MAA) invites artists from across the country to participate in Variations 2024, an 8-week juried exhibit of 2D and 3D artwork. All mediums are welcome. Artwork will be juried for acceptance and judged for prizes in Fine Art, Photography, and 3D works. Awards will be presented at the Opening Reception on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Exhibition dates are April 20 through June 16, 2024. Entry deadline is February 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Jury decisions will be made February 16-27, 2024, with email notification of acceptance by March 7, 2024. Accepted artwork must arrive by April 15, 2024. The MAA is located at 8 Hooper Street, Marblehead, MA 01945.
Entry fees are $35 for non-members and $35 for MAA members (with $10 discount coupon available). Additional entries cost $10 each. Submit 1-3 images of your work. Judges are Lydia Peabody (Fine Art), Karen Haas (Photography), and Ariel Zaccheo (3D). Cash prizes of $1,000, $250, and $100 will be awarded in each category. Applicants under 18 must have parental permission. Artwork previously accepted or exhibited in Variations 2021, 2022, or 2023 is not eligible. Payment accepted via Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, PayPal, or check. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must include a pre-paid return shipping label with their work.
