Marblehead Arts Association Variations 2022 Exhibit

The Marblehead Arts Association (MAA) invites artists from across the country to participate in Variations 2022, an 8-week, juried exhibit celebrating the organization's centennial anniversary. All mediums are welcome in two and three-dimensional artwork. Artwork will be juried for acceptance and judged for prizes in Fine Art, Photography, and 3D works. Winners will be awarded at the Opening Reception on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Entry fees are $35 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry (maximum 3 entries). MAA members receive a $10 discount on their first entry. Artists may submit digital images for up to 3 pieces of artwork. Images must be in jpg format, cropped to remove backgrounds, not exceeding 5mb, with a minimum of 100 dpi resolution and longest side not to exceed 1400 pixels. For 3D work, multiple views may be submitted as one combined image. All entries must be original work. If accepted, the work sent for exhibition must be the same work represented in the images used for judging. Submissions accepted or exhibited in Variations 2021 are not eligible. Artists must be 18 years or older to enter.

Prizes include cash awards of $1000, $250, and $100 in each category. Accepted artwork must arrive by April 15, 2022. The exhibit runs April 23 to June 19, 2022. All accepted 2D work must be framed and wired for hanging. 3D work must not exceed 12x12 pedestal size or 3ft by 3ft floor space, with a maximum weight of 80 lbs. Artists are responsible for shipping and return shipping costs. A pre-paid return shipping label must be enclosed with shipped work.
