MAPS Regional Juried Show

The MidAmerica Pastel Society Regional Juried Show is open to members and non-members from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, and Iowa. The entry deadline is May 24, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $50 for non-members or $35 for current MAPS members. Artists may submit 1-3 images of original artwork completed within the last 3 years that has not been previously exhibited in a MAPS Regional Show.

Artwork must be matted, framed, and wired for hanging with a maximum outside frame measurement of 30 x 36 inches (1080 square inches). Plexiglas is required on all shipped work. Accepted artists will be notified by email on June 7. Work delivery to Southwind Art Gallery in Topeka is required between July 1-3, 2015. The exhibition opens July 10 with a reception from 5:30-8:30 p.m., with prizes awarded at 7 p.m. The exhibition runs July 10 through August 22, 2015. Work pickup is available August 24-28.

Awards include Best of Show ($1,500), Second Place ($1,000), Third Place ($500), and five Honorable Mention awards ($100 each). The juror is Mary Binford Miller. All work must be for sale with a 50% commission retained by Southwind Gallery. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. Submissions are made through CaFE (www.callforentry.org) with JPEG images at least 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and maximum 3 MB file size.
