About This Call
Mid America Pastel Society Juried Members Exhibition. The exhibition runs December 4, 2015 - January 29, 2016 at Buttonwood ARTSPACE, 3013 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.
Eligibility: Artists who are currently 2015 MAPS members may submit up to 3 pieces. Artwork must be original, not previously exhibited in a MAPS show, and completed within the last 3 years. Work must be 80% soft pastel. All work must be matted, framed, and wired for hanging. Maximum frame size is 30 x 36 inches (1080 square inches). Entry fee is $35 for up to three paintings.
Key Dates: October 13 - Deadline for entries (midnight Central Time); October 27 - Email notice of acceptance; November 23 - Deadline for delivery to Buttonwood (9 a.m. - Noon); December 4 - First Friday Opening Reception (6 - 9 p.m.); February 1 - Pick-up work (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Awards: Best of Show $500, First Place $250, Second Place $100, Third Place $50. A Patron's Choice Award will be given by Buttonwood ARTSPACE. Juror: Kim Casebeer. Sales commission: 30% to Buttonwood Art Space, 20% to MAPS, 50% to artist. All work must be for sale.
