ManneqArt: Digital Art Competition

ManneqArt is an organization focused on bringing Wearable Art to the attention of the American public. Through a variety of events during the year, the organization showcases the best in imaginative Hair, Makeup, Costuming, and Digital Art. The focal point of the season is a Public Display of exceptional designs culminating in a Gala Event where finalists present their work. Located in Howard County, Maryland, USA, ManneqArt looks to engage a community committed to embracing the arts.

For the Digital Art Competition, artists must select one of twelve available head-to-toe model looks and incorporate it into a digitally-created environment. The 12 model looks are available for download on June 30th, 2013. Winning submissions will be featured in the ManneqArt 2014 Calendar. Artists may submit multiple designs, with each submission requiring a separate $25 USD application fee. Submissions must be high resolution (3000x1688px at 300dpi/ppi) for printing in the calendar. The themes for ManneqArt 2013 are air, water, earth, and fire. Up to 36 award winners will have their designs walk the runway at the ManneqArt Gala, and winning artists can receive awards totaling $50,000, with up to $16,000 for the Gold Award Winner.

Applicants must create original designs and concepts that comply with copyright guidelines and do not infringe on intellectual property rights. Designs should not include brand names or logos. Applicants must supply their real name upon application and thoroughly document their work for preliminary judging. Designs must be labeled with the designer's name, phone number, email, and title of the piece. ManneqArt reserves the right to use any images submitted to the competition. If a design wins any sponsored awards, intellectual property rights of the images are shared between the Artist, Award Sponsor, and ManneqArt.
