Magical Mysterious Tour

Woodwalk Gallery is hosting a virtual online exhibition during March and April 2022 for amateur and professional artists. The exhibition seeks art expressing a vision of a Magical Mysterious Tour, embodying concepts such as subtlety, nature, conceptual, portal, journey, internal, external, parallel universe, air, water, earth, fire, colors associated with the 4 elements, circles, cleansing, balance between light and dark, and renewal. The competition is open to all 2D and 3D (sculpture) artists residing in the USA working in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, hand-pulled prints, collages, graphics, digital arts, and sculpture.

Entry fee is $25.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. Applicants must submit 3-10 images. Prize money: 1st Place $500; 2nd Place $300; 3rd Place $150; Gallery Director's award $100. Prize-winning artists will have the opportunity to submit their winning entry plus one additional piece for display and sale in the gallery from April 16 through June 30, 2022. The virtual exhibition will be housed on the gallery's website and promoted through social media and email to approximately 3,000 followers. Each artist will have their own page, and viewers can access contact information for possible sales. Artists receive 100% of sales unless they prefer Woodwalk Gallery to broker the sale, in which case the gallery retains a 25% commission.

Entrants must be 18 years or older and USA residents. All artwork must be original and created within the past 5 years, not previously shown at Woodwalk Gallery. Sculpture artists may only submit one photo from a single perspective. Notification of acceptance will be sent via email during the third week of February, or by US mail if no email is provided. The juror is Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, Executive Director of Miller Art Museum, Sturgeon Bay.
