About This Call
Made in the USA: Let Freedom Ring is a juried exhibition open to artists 18 and older residing in the United States. The exhibition runs from Wednesday, July 24 through Friday, August 9, 2024, at The Artists Gallery, 5458 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036. The juror is Edward Goldman, an art critic and host of Art Talk on KCRW 89.9 FM.
Artists may submit up to 6 original artworks as JPEGs or up to 3 video submissions. The entry fee is $40.00 for the first entry, with additional entries at $5.00 each. Work samples must be submitted as high-resolution (2-3 MB) digital JPEGs to callforentry.org. The deadline for entries is Friday, June 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Accepted artists will be notified on or before Friday, June 21, 2024.
All submitted artworks must be original, for sale, of the artist's execution, and not previously shown at TAG. Artworks must not exceed 82 inches high and 52 inches wide framed, with a maximum weight of 35 pounds. Artwork created under direct instructor supervision is not eligible. Artificial Intelligence (AI) sourced or generated artwork will not be exhibited. TAG receives a 40% commission on sold artwork, beginning after acceptance and for 30 days after the exhibition ends or after artwork is picked up. The in-person reception and awards ceremony is Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Artwork pickup is Saturday, August 10, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
