Made in New York 2024

Made in New York is an annual juried exhibition at the Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn, New York, featuring work by New York State artists. The exhibition is open to all media including photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, fiber, installation, and video. Exhibition dates are March 23 - April 27, 2024, with an artists' reception and awards ceremony on March 23. Prizes will be awarded, including $1,000 for Best of Show. Jurors are Bill Hastings and Juan Perdiguero.

Eligibility: Professional artists 18 years old and up residing in New York State may apply. Artworks must be created within the past 3 years and not previously exhibited at the Art Center. Applicants may submit 2 artworks for consideration, with one full view image and one optional detail image per work (maximum 4 images total). Artworks must fit through 82" x 41" front doors and not exceed 144 inches on any side; sculptural work must be under 200 lbs. Unframed works on paper will not be accepted, and works cannot be suspended from the ceiling. All work must be installation-ready with appropriate hanging devices, hardware, and/or installation instructions.

Entry fee is $35.00, which includes membership at the Art Center for February-December 2024. Members with current active membership pay $5.00. Jury results will be emailed February 15. Hand delivery of artwork is accepted March 4-9 (10am-5pm, Monday-Saturday). Mailed artwork must arrive by March 9. Artwork pickup is April 30 - May 3 (10am-5pm, Tuesday-Friday), or by appointment. Shipped work will be returned by mail beginning May 1. If artwork is for sale, the Art Center retains a 25% commission on sales. Contact: [email protected].
