Made in New York

The Schweinfurth Art Center, a non-profit multi-arts center in Auburn, New York, invites professional artists 18 years old and up residing in New York State to submit work for the Made in New York exhibition. Artists may submit digital images of no more than two pieces completed within the last three years (2017 and after) and not previously exhibited at the Art Center. Two and three dimensional work will be accepted including photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, fiber, installation, and video.

Entry fee is $35.00, which includes membership at the Art Center for February-December 2020. Current members may enter for $5.00 with a promo code. Submissions must include 1-2 images in JPEG format (1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB). All work must be received installation-ready with appropriate hanging device, hardware, and/or installation instructions. Unframed works on paper will not be accepted, and works cannot be suspended from the ceiling. Only completed work may be entered; proposals and works in progress are not accepted.

Artwork may be hand-delivered Tuesday-Saturday, May 19-23 (10am-5pm), or shipped to arrive between May 12-22. Jury results will be emailed April 24. The exhibition runs June 5 – August 16, 2020, with an artists' reception and awards on June 5 (5-8pm). Artwork must be picked up August 18-21 or by appointment. If artwork is for sale, the Art Center retains a 25% commission. The Schweinfurth Art Center will insure objects on site for the insurance value indicated on the entry form; artists are responsible for shipping insurance both ways.
