Macon Mural Festival 2026

The Macon Mural Festival (MMF) is a 3-day event seeking artists to participate in branding Macon, GA as a vibrant and creative destination. Each participating artist will receive a prepped wall to complete their mural, a $2,000 stipend plus $250 for supplies, and lodging provided by the festival. Murals can be open theme but must be approved by the business that sponsors the wall.

Artists will arrive in Macon on Thursday, September 10th. The festival kicks off with a breakfast on Friday, September 11th, followed by all-day work time on Friday and Saturday to complete murals. All murals will be unveiled on Saturday, September 12th at the MMF Celebration Party. Walls are no larger than 20ft. x 20ft. Selected artists must provide their own transportation and materials (supply stipend provided), apply graffiti coating at the end of the festival, submit concept drawings after wall/location assignments are given, and return a completed contract and W9.

Applicants must submit 3-5 examples of completed or in-progress murals and concept drawings (or most relevant current work if no mural experience). Include bio, resume, website, and social media if applicable. Entry fee is $10. Artists must be 18 years or older. The festival is hosted by Macon Arts Alliance, which fosters support for the advancement of arts and culture in Central Georgia.
