Luster: Juried Ceramics Exhibition for College Students in the Southeast

The Morean Arts Center is seeking entries for a juried exhibition for college and university students working in clay. This is a regional exhibition open to students enrolled in a visual arts-related degree program (undergraduate or graduate) from universities or colleges in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The purpose of this show is to amplify the work of emerging artists and ceramic programs in the region. The exhibition will be held at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, FL from January 17 – March 27, 2025, running concurrently with the Morean Center for Clay's annual Florida Clay Conference.

Artwork may be any theme or subject matter. The size limit for work submitted is 40 inches in any direction, with a weight limit of 50 pounds. All artwork submitted must be over 50% made of ceramic material. Eligibility is open to all artists age 18 or older currently enrolled in a visual arts-related degree program. All work must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited at the Morean. The Morean's curatorial staff has final authority for selection.

Entry fee is $30.00. Submit 1-3 images of your work. The application deadline is October 13, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. For questions, contact [email protected].
