Lust for Rust

Atlantic Gallery, located in the Landmark Arts Building in Chelsea, invites artists to submit work for the juried exhibition Lust for Rust. The exhibition runs February 18–March 8, 2025, with an opening reception on February 20, 2025, 5:30–8 PM. Juror and curator Ellen Hackl Fagan will award one artist a grand prize of a one-week solo show at Atlantic Gallery at a future date.

Artists are invited to submit 2D or 3D artwork that illuminates the concept of rust, including painting, sculpture, collage, and mixed media. Work may not exceed 40 inches in any direction and must be ready to hang or mount. All work submitted must be for sale. Submission costs $35 for three works and $5.00 for each additional work, up to a maximum of five images. Submit 3–5 images (JPEG format, 1200–1800 pixels on the largest side, maximum 5 MB each). The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2024. Juror reviews will take place December 15, 2024–January 4, 2025, with artist notifications January 7–9, 2025.

Works must be hand-delivered or shipped to the gallery February 11–15, 2025. The exhibition runs February 18–March 8, 2025. Hand-delivered work may be picked up March 8, 2025, 5–6 PM, or March 11–15, 2025, 12–6 PM. All shipped work must include a pre-paid return shipping label.
