LUSH: A Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition

LUSH: A Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition showcases current and innovative practices in the field of ceramics, featuring works that utilize clay as the primary material. This juried exhibition is open nationally to all emergent and established ceramics artists who create functional, sculptural, and experimental pieces. All entries must be original and completed within the last two years. The exhibition runs from November 11, 2019 to January 4, 2020 at the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, Florida.

Artists selected for this exhibition will be juried by a panel of nationally recognized ceramics artists. The Artists' Reception and Award Ceremony will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019, with judge Alex Zablocki. Prize awards include: $1,500 First Prize, $1,000 Second Prize, $500 Third Prize, and $250 Honorable Mention (two awards). The application fee is $40.00 for up to 3 entries. Artists will receive 60% on sales of their work, with a 40% commission to the Lighthouse ArtCenter.

Size restrictions: Height no more than 5 feet, width/depth no more than 3 feet, weight no more than 50 pounds. Submissions must include 2-6 digital images (JPEG/JPG format, 1200 pixels or greater on longest side, under 5 MB). All work must remain on display through the duration of the exhibition. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of accepted works both to and from the exhibition. Artwork must arrive at Lighthouse ArtCenter on or before November 4, 2019. Unsold works will be packed and shipped or picked up by January 9, 2020. Application deadline: October 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Notification of acceptance: October 4, 2019.
