LUSH 4: A Contemporary Ceramics Biennial

LUSH 4 is the fourth edition of Lighthouse ArtCenter's contemporary ceramics biennial, featuring cutting-edge and innovative practices in contemporary ceramics. This juried exhibition is open nationally to all emerging and established ceramics artists who create functional, sculptural, and experimental pieces in clay. Artists will be selected by a panel of nationally recognized ceramic artists and the curator of Lighthouse ArtCenter. The exhibition offers artists the opportunity to present their work to influential collectors in a world-class gallery in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The exhibition runs from September 10 through November 14, 2026. An Artists' Reception and Award Ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 15, 5-7 p.m., with judging by ceramic artist Bradley Klem. Awards include: First Place $1,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $750, and two Honorable Mention awards of $500 each. Total awards budget is $4,250.

Eligibility requirements: Artists must submit up to three unique works as digital images (JPEG/JPG format, 1200 pixels or greater on longest side, under 5 MB). All work must have been created within the last two years and must not have been previously displayed at Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta, Florida. The $45 non-refundable application fee covers up to three items submitted to the jury. 3D art must be delivered ready to install with appropriate base or hanging mechanism. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance of accepted works both to and from the exhibition. Artwork is insured while onsite in the gallery. Accepted artists must provide a return shipping label for unsold pieces at the close of the exhibition. Notification of acceptance will be provided July 27, 2026. Artwork delivery windows are July 27-August 7, 2026 and August 24-September 4, 2026.
