Lunacy

Lunacy explores the captivating world of full moon rituals while challenging the age-old misconception of witches. The exhibition digs into the enchantment of moonlight and the rhythms of nature, examining the intuitive, connected women who have been unjustly stigmatized throughout history. Curated by Amelie Laurice and Meghan DeRoma, the show is presented in partnership with Torrance Art Museum (TAM) at an off-site location in Torrance, CA, alongside renowned galleries from LA, Berlin, Mexico City, and more.

Show dates are October 27-29, 2023. October 27 features a VIP Preview Opening Reception from 4-6 PM. The exhibition is open October 28-29 from 12-6 PM.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, fiber, digital, and photography (no sculptures). All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. Paintings must not exceed 3 feet by 3 feet. All frames, mats, and wiring must be of professional quality and in good condition. Selected artwork must remain available for sale for the entirety of the exhibition. Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 images per submission. Artists must be 18 and over and able to attend in person or have a representative. Los Angeles or Southern California-based artists are preferred due to the timeline and in-person attendance requirements. Entry deadline is October 20, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
