LUMIÈRE

LUMIÈRE is an online exhibition celebrating the presence of light in art. The theme invites artists to explore how light—whether dark, bright, dull, natural, or artificial—transforms ordinary images into extraordinary work. Light is examined as both a literal and metaphorical component that defines the strength and spirit of a piece.

The exhibition is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional, working in all fine art mediums including oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, and digital art (film/video excluded). Work that is copied or done under instructor guidance is not eligible. Artwork previously exhibited with Art Fluent will not be selected again. Accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com. Selection is by director's choice with no personal feedback provided by jurors.

Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 total entries. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. For 3D work, additional detail shots do not require additional fees. JPEGs must be submitted by June 11, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Images must be in JPEG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email on July 9, 2021. Awards include First Place ($500), Second Place ($200), and Third Place ($100). Artists receive 100% of sales. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to arts organizations and artist support initiatives.
