Lucid Influences: Chasing Dreamscapes

Lucid Influences: Chasing Dreamscapes is an exhibition exploring lucid dreams and their meaning to artists. In lucid dreams the primary self "wakes up" bringing with it "memories, knowledge of facts and trains of reason." As artists, these elements can be translated onto canvas, representing a dual consciousness that encompasses true artistry.

Artists can submit 1-3 pieces of 2D abstract work (no sculptures or multi-dimensional wall art) for a $35 submission fee. Work must meet the following specifications: minimum size 24"x24" (61cmx61cm), maximum 36"x36" (91cmx91cm). All work must include D-rings and be ready to hang. Gallery wrapped canvases 1.5" (4cm) thick or greater do not require frames but must have clean painted edges. Artwork thinner than 1.5" (4cm) must be framed. No glass is permitted.

Eligibility is open to national and international artists 18 years of age or older. Selected artists will be required to pay a $200 participation fee. Selected work will be displayed in a professional gallery in the Dallas Design District, featured on gallery social media pages, included on the gallery website for the duration of the exhibition, and exposed to the gallery's list of patrons and collectors. The gallery charges a 35% commission on all sales. Exhibition dates: 9/12/22 - 11/12/22.
