Lucent: The Art of Light

Artlink is now accepting submissions for our juried exhibition Lucent: The Art of Light. This exhibition is open to light-focused works of all media and can be interpreted broadly—from work that depicts light, to work which emits light itself. In the words of James Turrell, "light is not so much something that reveals, as it is itself the revelation." Light reveals everything we see in this world. It shapes our reality, and affects our entire being. In this exhibition we don't just want to use light to reveal artwork, we want the artworks to reveal light. Whether symbolically, metaphorically, or literally, all light-focused works are eligible. All media are welcome, include but not limited to: painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, fiber, video, ceramic, metals, neon, collage, mixed media, installation and printmaking.
