Lubbock Studio Tour 2021

The Lubbock Arts Alliance invites applications for the Local Color Studio Tour, scheduled for November 14-15, 2021. A final decision about whether to proceed with the event will be made by September 15, 2020, with possible cancellation due to COVID-19 resurgence, governmental regulations, or insufficient participation.

Eligibility and Requirements: Entrants must be full-time residents of Lubbock County. All work must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, and completed within the last 24 months. Each artist is required to be present in their studio location during both days of operation. Three images are required for jury consideration. Selected artists must provide at least two additional images for publicity purposes by September 29, 2020. Artists are responsible for their own setup, takedown, sales transactions, and sales tax compliance. A working email address is required for all correspondence.

Fees and Participation: The application fee is $25. Participation fees are $250 for artists or $200 for host studios that have participated in past years. Participation fees will be refunded if the Studio Tour is cancelled, but there is no refund if an artist withdraws. Studios that have previously hosted the tour will be automatically accepted if their artist's work is juried in. All participating artists are expected to help promote the event through their own channels. Artists are responsible for sharing costs for refreshments served during the show.
