Lubbock Music Now 2017 Cover Art Call for Entry

Lubbock Music NOW, a project of Civic Lubbock, Inc., is accepting entries for original works of visual art to be considered for the cover of the 2017 edition of a CD featuring locally-produced music. The project seeks to recognize musicians living in the Lubbock area and give visitors a picture of what the local music scene is producing.

Open to all artists who live within a 100 mile radius of Lubbock. Artwork should reflect the spirit and vibrancy of Lubbock's current music scene. All 2-D media are eligible, including digital photography, graphic design, printmaking, drawing, painting, and mixed media. One entry per artist. Entries must be original in design and execution and completed within the last two years. Works completed in a workshop or under supervision are ineligible. Artist must provide a short biography and statement about submitted work.

Winning entry will receive a one-time cash prize of $200 provided by Civic Lubbock, Inc. The winning entry will be selected by a panel of independent, professional visual artists and musicians. Artist understands that Civic Lubbock retains the right to reproduce the work and will not provide further compensation or royalties for use of the artwork. Artwork may be modified at the discretion of Civic Lubbock to include text and titles. Winning artwork must be provided in JPG or GIF format, scalable to a square format (preferably 4.75" x 4.75"), at least 1600 x 1600 pixels in size, in RGB Color Mode, with 300 DPI resolution.
